Enjoy beautiful Lake Maranacook and the unique architecture of a true Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome.  The house is just feet from the lake with a dock stretching 48 feet out and a float for sunbathing.  The deck wraps around the lake side of the house with views of the North Basin.  Bring your boat or rent one, use our canoe, enjoy swimming and fishing in the warm, clear water.

This geodesic dome on the shore of Lake Maranacook features an open floor plan, new skylights with great views of the Lake, two large bedrooms each with a Queen bed, and a loft with a queen bed and a daybed (twin mattress).  The living room has a pull-out sofa that converts to a comfortable, no-springs full-size bed.  

The updated bathroom has a bathtub and a door to the deck for easy access from the lake.  The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the table is set for six with a leaf to accommodate 8.  Board games are in the coffee table, darts on the wall and foosball in the loft.  The Dome has wi-fi.  

 

 

At the End of a Private Road

Located just 25 minutes from Augusta, one hour from Portland, 2.5 hours from Bar Harbor and 3 hours from Boston.  Main roads lead you all the way to Winthrop and you'll follow a private road through the woods to the end of the peninsula that juts into the southern end of Lake Maranacook's warmer, quieter North Basin.
